It's been quite stressful upgrading the server. The "Send Message" page had some problems after the upgrade and I had trouble figuring out what the problem was. In the end it turned out to be the server wasn't configured correctly. I'll be writing down what I've done now for future upgrades. I'm not a networking admin and I'm learning this all on the go. :-)

Thanks to everyone spreading the word, OzAdz is regularly receiving more than 2000 visits every day. Yesterday OzAdz had 2228 visits. To cope with the new increased traffic, I will be upgrading the server this week and the website may experience some down time.

Posting a new ad system is being updated and there may be a delay with your new ad being posted. All should be sorted before Monday morning.

Which moderation system would you prefer to see on OzAdz?

A) Moderated by a few selected moderators.

B) Moderated by everyone with a positive and negative voting system. For example, if you like an ad you can give it a point and if you don't like it, you can take a point away. Every ad starts with say 10 points. If an ad gets a score of 0 points, it gets deleted from the website.

This year has been a good year for OzAdz.com and hopefully next year will be even better. Last year November 2009 had 3,500 visits. This year November 2010 had 42,000 visits which is a huge increase.

Today the limit on the views counter was increased to 10,000.

I increased the Reply counter from 20 to 40. It's just a minor increase as I thought 20 was a bit of a low limit. Any feed back will be appreciated in the forums.

I noticed quite a few people were making mistakes when typing in their email address to post new adz. I assume people were also making mistakes when replying to users on the website too. To help eliminate this problem, I added an email confirmation textbox.

If both emails typed into the system don't match, an error occurs and the user is told they must have made a mistake when entering their email address.

- Views counter increased to 99.

- Disclaimer page removed from LTR Personals links.

- URL's for the ad pages have been changed.
